Position Description
The Director of Program Services reports to the CEO and is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations to ensure that the organization achieves its objectives.
Duties:
Responsible for fulfillment of our mission, vision, and values by demonstrating respect, and promoting a positive culture.

Ensure all personnel and financial issues, as well as any decision or practice affecting the organization, are prudent, lawful and in accordance with commonly accepted business practices and professional ethics.

At all times the Director must present themselves and the Ability Works organization to the public in a professional manner.

Work collaboratively with Ability Works on staff development and implementation of innovative day services to persons with developmental disabilities.

Assure ongoing programming excellence, program evaluation and consistent quality of finance, administration, communications and systems. Recommends the resources required to achieve the strategic goals and maintains organization’s financial stability.

Responsible for managing ISP meeting for Day Services, and ensuring quality outcomes for each person served.

Maintain strong PR relationships with staff, community leaders and business operators which may include speaking engagements with local civic groups.

Updates job knowledge by remaining aware of new regulations; participating in educational opportunities including conferences; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

Responsible for overseeing with departmental managers DODD compliance.

Assist in establishment of professional enrichment programs and implementation of staff training plans; monitoring delivery of services and provides evaluation assessment to promote program and staff improvement.

Lead, coach, develop and retain high performance employees and management team. Assure that effective systems are in place to track progress and evaluate programs. Measures successes and shortcomings and communicates to the CEO.

Responsible for annual performance reviews, discipline, and or termination of direct reports.

Ensure all training required is current.

Other duties as assigned.
Requirements & Preferences:

Bachelor's Degree preferred or a minimum of 7 years experience in the DD field with a minimum of 5 years in supervision.

Must be able to pass and maintain all certification and or training required by DODD
-
Must be able to pass crisis intervention training (i.e., CPI, COPE, etc.).

CPR/AED Certification
-
First Aid Certification
-
Valid Driver’s License
-
Current Proof of Auto Insurance

Must be able to pass Criminal, OAC 5123:2-02-02, and Driving Background Checks

Must be able to pass company physical
-
Must be able to pass drug test
Compensation:
$44k-$55k based upon experience
