Ability Works Transportation Department assists a person with transportation to their day services, employment services, or places of employment. Ability Works, Inc. operates a fleet of PUCO/ODOT certified vehicles, annually inspected by the Ohio State Patrol.

AW Transportation includes transportation to get to, from, between, or among:

  • A place of employment

  • A location where adult day support, career planning, group employment support, individual employment support, or vocational habilitation is provided to the individual

  • A volunteer activity

  • A post-secondary educational program

  • An internship or practicum

  • A drop-off or transfer location from which the individual is then transported to or from one of the above-listed places

  • A local school job training program

  • Operating hours are generally 7:30 am to 4:30 pm

Billing Units, Service Codes, and Payment Rates

There shall be no cost of services for individuals who are determined eligible for services by the County Board of DD or OOD. For those individuals not covered under one of these funding sources we do accept private pay, which is reviewed on a case-by-case basis. All services will be charged at the established Medicaid rate.
