Last Friday our staff took the Plunge and raised $2,518 towards the Special Olympics of Ohio. Our staff have spent the last few months raising money, and ended their fundraising efforts by jumping into a small pool... which ended up being on a snowy day when it was 23 degrees outside and the pool was forming ice!
Every year, staff at Ability Works joins others in Sandusky at the Sandusky Polar Plunge. Since the closest event this year was outside Cleveland our staff got creative and hosted a small event outside of our program where those who attend our day programs, as well as staff and other guests, could watch on. Those brave enough to take the plunge were Peggy Heim, Amanda Cantu, Pam Klodnick, Shelley Miller, Courtney Spencer, and a friend of Ability Works, Tracy Susana. Check out our Facebook to watch the event recording!
