Appoint Hannah Romell to the Board

Ability Works is excited to announce the appointment of Hannah Romell, of Huron, to its Board of Directors. The board and staff are excited to have her on the board with the new excitement she brings and her passion for the organization.

Romell found a passion for helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) when a family member was diagnosed with a rare developmental disability. She cultivated that desire to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities while working at n2y, a Huron-based company which develops learning solutions for students and adults with special needs. It was at n2y where she heard about the open board position at Ability Works.

“We are fortunate to have Hannah Romell join our board of directors. Her energy and enthusiasm are infectious. She has a true passion for our mission and vision. Her experience in fundraising, relationship building, and marketing will be extremely beneficial,” said Doreen Ehlert, CEO of Ability Works.

Romell currently resides in Huron with her husband Ryan and their daughter Hazel. As someone who has grown up in Erie County and received her bachelor’s degree at Bowling Green State University, Romell brings many connections and resources to Ability Works. This is apparent as she has already begun helping with fundraisers by giving input on the upcoming Golf Outing as well as preliminary planning for the 50th Anniversary Celebration.
