Sensory Space Has been open for 3 years!

It’s been three years since the opening of the Clark Family Sensory Space!

We have loved offering this state-of-the-art sensory space free to the community. We have had many visits, with almost 200 in 2021 with families visiting from Erie, Huron, and Lorain counties, and even as far away as Columbus!

Our space is somewhere where anyone can come to relax and receive many therapeutic benefits, from simply enjoying the space. Most importantly it has become a favorite activity for many families who have seen their children improve and grow in ways they often didn’t think they would see.

Leo was 5 years old when she first came to visit us. She was very apprehensive but eventually began exploring all around the room. Her dad stated that this was the happiest he has seen her for a long time. She came to us needing support to walk around the room and now she is walking on her own!

We hope to have even more success stories with this space as well as the outdoor sensory experiences we are fundraising for to install in the summer of 2023! Sensory rooms and outdoor sensory equipment help individuals of all ages and abilities and are very beneficial for PTSD, anxiety, sensory disorder, and disabilities. We are so glad to be able to offer this free service. If you want to donate towards the building of our new outdoor sensory experience or to learn more click here
