Sensory Space is Back Open!

After brief renovations in our building, we are now able to open up our Sensory Space again!

Individuals of all ages and abilities can come in to use the space. Sensory Spaces offer relaxation, improve focus, stimulate the mind, and improve development. Visitors can interact with the large variety of items in our space and play and engage freely, or with the direction and support of our Sensory Manager.

There are a variety of couches, a large layout swing, bean bags, sensory chairs, and more seats in the space to relax in. There is a variety of lights to offer a calm environment that can also stimulate the senses. We have a variety of items to play within the space including led panels, texture panels, interactive lights, as well as an interactive floor system. The interactive floor system projects interactive elements onto the floor. You can play in a koi pond, play a game of pool, play soccer, and so much more!

There are endless amounts of things you can do and explore in the sensory space, or you can just sit and relax. It is beneficial for people of all ages and abilities but is especially beneficial for individuals with developmental disabilities, sensory processing disorders, autism, anxiety, PTSD, and dementia. It helps to calm you, and also offers many opportunities to develop motor skills, and improve cognitive development.

The space is free to use by appointment only. Call today at 419-626-1048 ext 3110 to schedule your sensory space visit today!
