Sensory Space News

Exciting things have been happening with our Sensory Space. A little over a year ago, we began making the space available to the public. Families can schedule appointments to visit and explore. Appointments usually occur in 30-minute increments, allowing for sanitizing of the equipment between visits.

Since opening the space to the public, we have hosted 28 families, 4 groups from other providers, as well as, from Lorain City Schools and the Erie County Board of DD. So far, we have had visitors from Erie, Huron, Sandusky, and Lorain Counties and even as far as North Carolina.

We recently hosted a small group of parents and their children from St. John’s Lutheran Church. The room is a big hit with both parents and children.

A family from Lorain County says “This is worth the drive, he is so happy here!”

A mom from Sandusky whose family just relocated here from Columbus states, “I can’t believe this is right here in Sandusky, my son is so happy and chill after the sensory room.”

Check out our billboard on Route 2 West between Route 6 and Route 101, on the Southside of the road. It features the beautiful Miss Leo!
