We would like to spotlight William "Allen" Cornwell, who started attending our Day service program in March of 2021. When he first started at Ability Works he was very quiet, reserved, and didn’t talk much without being asked a question. He now has no problem expressing his wants and needs to our staff without hesitation.
Allen is very independent and has learned his way around Ability Works despite being legally blind in one eye, and totally blind in the other. He is able to independently get around the building, clean his area up after eating, and more.
Allen loves to tell everyone that his birthday is coming up in July. He enjoys sitting outside and going for walks on nice days. His favorite holiday is Christmas, his favorite team is the Cleveland Indians, and he loves to go bowling and shopping at Walmart. Allen participates in all our activities at Day Hab without hesitation.
