Our Career Academy, a Vocational Habilitation service, recently received a grant from the Erie County Community Foundation to purchase laptops or “mobile workstations.”
Career Academy has been utilizing the laptops to search for jobs, do online quizzes, practice typing, and for educational games. This has given them a new way to learn, as well as an opportunity to improve their computer skills.
This is yet another way we are incorporating technology into our Day Services in 2022. Helping our clients to use technology helps them learn to use more technology aids, as well as access to all the things modern technology can offer!
The career academy group has really enjoyed the opportunity to use their new laptops and they are getting the hang of it fast!
